Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo is divided into five Faculties each headed by a Dean. The Faculties are divided into departments and units. In addition, there are the Registry, Library, Health Centre, Bursary, Works and Maintenance Services and the Continuing Education Centre.
In all there are 42 academic programs run at ND and HND levels out of which 38 programs have been accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) while the remaining 4 are outstanding for resource visitation. Apart from the regular ND and HND programs, the Polytechnic also runs Certificate Courses in management Studies, Part-Time Programs in Business Administration and Management, Accountancy, Confidential Secretary IV, III and II Programs and Conducts Open Grading Tests for Typists and Diploma in Computers
Among the services provided for the welfare of student and members of staff (and their families) are health care facilities, limited hostel accommodation, transport service, staff school and sporting facilities.
The Library is headed by the Polytechnic Librarian. The Library serves the academic interest of staff and students. The Library Complex, is made up of the readers unit, reprographic unit, audio-visual unit, office block, computer unit and a photographic unit. It has over 68.000 volumes of books and subscribes to about 250 journal titles and carried out photographic coverage of events.
THE REGISTRY:- The head of registry is the Registrar who is the Chief Administratve Officer of the institution. The Registry constitutes the administrative arm of the Polytechnic where all the records and official documents are kept in respect of the activities of staff, students and other external bodies.

THE BURSARY:- The Bursary is headed by the Bursar, who is the Chief Financial Officer of the institution. The Bursary department is responsible for the collecting so revenue and making payments on behalf of the institution.

WORKS DEPARTMENT
The Works and Maintenance Services department is head by the Principal Engineer and it is sub divided into two main sections as follows:
THE HEALTH CENTRE
The Health Centre is headed by the Chief Medical officer, the Health Centre is responsible for the health carte delivery to both the members f staff and students. It is well stocked with drugs, The Health Centre has both in -patients and out patient department, and bedding facilities for the in-patients, it has Laboratory department for carrying out various tests. It is operating twenty-four hours service daily with workers doing shifting duties. The Health Centre has in its employment two fully employed Medical Doctors, who are experience Medical Doctors, experience Chief Nursing Officers, Staff Nurses, Midwives and Health Attendants.
THE STAFF SCHOOLS
Part of the welfare packages put in place for all the members of both academic and non-academic staff are the staff schools which are comprised of the Primary and Secondary Sections so as to give sound education to the children who are of school age are expected to enroll either in the primary or in the secondary sections. Although it is voluntary, but members of staff whose children are in the school pay subsidized school fees on such children.
